WANA (Apr 05) – The Public Relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a formal statement detailing “Wave 97” of Operation True Promise 4. The mission, conducted by the IRGC Navy, involved a large-scale, coordinated drone and missile strike against American and Israeli strategic interests in the Persian Gulf and neighboring littoral states.

According to the IRGC, the operation was dedicated to the employees of the Ministry of Energy and Tavanir (Iran’s specialized thermal power company).

Confirmed Targets and Operational Details

Strike on U.S. Command Center (Kuwait): IRGC forces utilized multiple ballistic missiles and a swarm of “suicide” drones to strike a covert assembly point for U.S. commanders and officers near the Mohammed Al-Ahmad Naval Base in Kuwait. The statement noted a high volume of ambulance activity in the area following the precision strike, indicating significant casualties.

Casualty Update (UAE): The IRGC provided an update on a previous operation targeting U.S. military instructors and officers in the United Arab Emirates, confirming that at least 25 personnel have been killed or wounded to date.

Maritime Strike (Jebel Ali, UAE): A vessel identified as the Qingdao Star was reportedly struck by a “Ghadir” naval cruise missile while in the channel of the Jebel Ali Port. The IRGC claims the ship remains on fire following the impact.

Strait of Hormuz Security Measures

As part of “smart control” measures over the strategic Strait of Hormuz, the IRGC Navy reported that it has blocked the entry and exit of several vessels lacking proper transit permits. These ships were reportedly diverted to designated anchorages to the east and west of the Strait.

Safety Advisory to Maritime Traffic

The IRGC Navy has issued an advisory to the crews of oil tankers and commercial vessels operating in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman: “We advise all maritime crews to ignore false reports and avoid compromising their safety. If necessary, vessels should communicate with IRGC naval stations via International Channel 16.”

The statement concluded with a warning that these operations remain part of a broader response to ongoing regional tensions.
