IRGC Navy Releases New Map of the Strait of Hormuz Under Iranian Control
WANA (May 04) – The Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released a map detailing the new boundaries of the Strait of Hormuz currently under the management and control of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The boundaries are defined as follows:
- To the South: The line between Kuh-e Mobarak in Iran and the south of Fujairah in the UAE.
- To the West: The line between the tip of Qeshm Island in Iran and Umm al-Quwain in the UAE.
Yesterday, CENTCOM and the President of the United States announced that, effective Monday morning, they would initiate operations under the title “Project Liberty” to facilitate the passage of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
In reaction to this, the Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters declared: “The security of the Strait of Hormuz is in our hands, and any passage must be coordinated with our Armed Forces. We warn that any foreign armed force—particularly the aggressive U.S. military—intending to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz will be targeted and attacked.”
