WANA (Jun 27) – Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC):

Following the Zionist regime’s violation of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, a few hours ago, the oath-breaking U.S. regime, as always, also violated its commitments and, under various pretexts related to the passage of a non-compliant vessel through an unauthorized route in the Strait of Hormuz, carried out an air attack on the coasts of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In response to this aggression, the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeted the deployment sites of the terrorist U.S. military in the region.

Under Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, arrangements concerning traffic control and transit through the Strait of Hormuz are with the Islamic Republic of Iran; however, the United States, through various provocations, sought to violate this commitment and received the necessary response. This will continue to be the case in the future. Should the aggression be repeated, our response will be broader than this.
