IRGC Navy Warns Vessels: Do Not Approach the Strait of Hormuz
WANA (Jun 20) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has issued a formal statement announcing the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to all maritime traffic and warning vessels that approaching the strategic waterway will jeopardize their safety.
According to the statement released by the IRGC Navy’s Public Relations department, the closure is a direct response to Israeli actions in Lebanon and what it described as the United States’ failure to uphold its commitments regarding a ceasefire.
The maritime force emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is now fully closed to all vessels. The statement concluded with a strict warning, reiterating that shipping vessels must not approach the area, or they will risk putting their own security in jeopardy.
