WANA (Jun 04) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that lasting peace and stability in the region cannot be achieved unless Israel halts its attacks and withdraws from occupied Lebanese territories.

In a statement addressing recent developments in Lebanon, the IRGC said the country remains under what it described as continued Israeli aggression. It argued that international condemnations and widespread opposition from governments and peoples around the world have failed to alter Israel’s conduct.

The statement also claimed that U.S. involvement in the region, despite being presented as an effort to promote peace, has led to greater violence and civilian suffering.

The IRGC accused the Israeli military of compensating for its battlefield setbacks by targeting civilian infrastructure, including residential areas, hospitals, and schools. It further alleged that, despite extensive support from the United States and several European countries, Israel has failed to gain legitimacy among the populations living under its control.

The statement also asserted that the Lebanese people would not allow Israel to secure through political agreements what it had failed to achieve through military means, arguing that such efforts are being backed by the United States.

According to the IRGC, any regional ceasefire arrangement must include all fronts, including Lebanon. The statement called for an immediate end to Israeli military operations in Lebanon, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Lebanese territory, and respect for Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Concluding the statement, the IRGC described the Lebanese people as a symbol of dignity and resistance in the region and reiterated its support for Lebanon, warning that no lasting stability or calm would be possible without an Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories.
