IRGC: No Vessels Have Passed Through the Strait of Hormuz in Recent Hours
WANA (May 04) – The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that no commercial vessels or oil tankers have passed through the Strait of Hormuz in recent hours, describing claims made by U.S. officials as “baseless and entirely false.”
The IRGC said that all maritime routes in the area have been under continuous monitoring and that no traffic by commercial ships or oil tankers has been recorded during this period.
The statement further emphasized that any maritime activity inconsistent with the IRGC Navy’s declared regulations would face “serious consequences,” warning that violating vessels would be decisively intercepted.
This statement comes amid recent claims by U.S. sources regarding vessel movements in the strategic waterway—claims that the IRGC has firmly denied.
