WANA (Jul 25) – The Commander of the IRGC Quds Force, Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, has emphasized that lifting the 11-year blockade on Yemen is a legitimate and humane demand for the country’s oppressed people.

Addressing regional dynamics, General Qaani urged the Saudi government to draw lessons from the “unwise and costly actions” of the United States and put an end to the siege imposed on a Muslim nation of over 38 million people.

He noted that Muslims worldwide expect Saudi Arabia—as the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques—to redirect its resources toward supporting the Palestinian people and confronting the atrocities of the “Zionist regime”, rather than continuing war and pressure against a suffering Muslim nation.

Concluding his remarks, the Quds Force commander stressed that making efforts to save the oppressed people of Gaza is a source of honor, unlike the continuation of the blockade against the resilient Yemeni nation.
