IRGC Reports Casualties in Attack on U.S. Military Compound in Jordan
WANA (Jul 21) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Public Relations department has issued Statement No. 40, detailing a targeted strike against a facility housing U.S. military personnel in the Al-Rukban region of Jordan.
Addressing the Iranian public, the military branch confirmed that the strike was carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force as part of the ongoing Wave 24 of “Operation Nasr-2.” The statement noted that the attack successfully hit the compound, resulting in the death of U.S. service members.
The IRGC also addressed comments made by the U.S. Secretary of Defense, disputing official American characterizations of the casualties and asserting that the actual casualty count is significantly higher than what has been publicly acknowledged.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that retaliatory actions will continue, expressing confidence that international opposition to U.S. military actions in the region will persist.
