WANA (Jul 24) – The Islamic Revolutionary ‌‌Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in its Statement No. 47 that, during the 27th wave of Operation Nasr 2, it targeted a major ammunition depot and several personnel accommodation facilities at the U.S. Ali Al Salem Air Base, claiming the targets were completely destroyed.

 

According to the statement issued by the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, the operation was carried out under the code name “Ya Aba Saleh Al-Mahdi Adrikni” using advanced heavy suicide drones. The statement claimed that the attack triggered a series of explosions that completely destroyed a large ammunition storage facility inside the base.

 

The IRGC further stated that personnel accommodation hangars were struck simultaneously, claiming that six large hangars were completely destroyed while three others sustained severe damage. It also alleged that a large number of U.S. personnel were killed or wounded in the attack.

 

The statement went on to claim that the U.S. military has suffered hundreds of fatalities and significantly more injuries during what it described as the “five-month imposed war.” It further alleged that the daily evacuation of wounded American troops by medical aircraft to a U.S. military hospital in Germany demonstrates the scale of those casualties, while accusing Washington of understating its losses.

 

The IRGC also called on American media organizations to investigate what it described as the true scale of U.S. military casualties, battlefield losses, and the financial costs of the conflict, urging them to expose what it characterized as government censorship and the concealment of information from the American public.

 

The statement concluded by saying that military operations against what it described as “the aggressors” will continue.
