WANA (Apr 30) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) marked National Persian Gulf Day by issuing a statement describing the Persian Gulf as a symbol of coexistence among nations, stressing that true power is achieved when it delivers security, prosperity, and progress for all.

In the statement, Iran was portrayed as a “strong and trusted pillar” of regional security, stability, and development, supported by national resolve and the capabilities of the country’s armed forces. The IRGC also said its navy would continue strengthening its ability to manage and control the Strait of Hormuz while enforcing sovereign policies aimed at safeguarding Iran’s rights.

The statement described the occasion as an opportunity to revisit Iran’s civilizational heritage and reflect on a future in which the Persian Gulf serves not as an arena of rivalry and threats, but as a platform for cooperation, knowledge, trade, and lasting peace among nations.

The IRGC also paid tribute to Iranian personnel killed in past confrontations, including Alireza Tangsiri and Nader Mahdavi, while reaffirming commitment to their legacy.

Concluding the message, the force said recent developments indicate that the United States and other foreign powers will eventually leave the region, allowing the Persian Gulf to emerge as a center of unity, stability, and progress for future generations.
