WANA (Mar 06) – A knowledgeable source within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that missiles used in the past seven days of attacks against U.S. and Israeli targets in the region largely belong to systems developed in the early 2010s.

The source stated that, in anticipation of a prolonged conflict, most of the missiles deployed so far date back to 2012, 2013, and 2014, and that Iran has largely refrained from using its newer-generation missile systems, except in limited cases.

Elaborating on the dynamics of Iran’s defence industry, the official noted that the design and production cycle within the country’s missile assembly lines remains continuously active, with the manufacturing of various missile systems proceeding simultaneously and without interruption.

Referring to potential future strategies in response to enemy actions, the source added that a new style of attack is expected in the coming days, likely involving advanced, less frequently used long-range missiles.
