WANA (Aug 31) – The spokesman for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the attack on Lark Island tonight would be met with a response aimed at “punishing the aggressor,” warning that the enemy would pay the consequences of what he described as a miscalculation on both the economic and military fronts.

 

Brig. Gen. Hossein Mohabbi wrote on X: “The terrorist enemy’s aggression against Lark Island will be met with a response that punishes the aggressor.”

 

He also described the attack as a “strategic and fatal mistake” by the Trump administration in the context of the economic war, warning that the miscalculation could shift the balance against those who planned it and carry heavy costs.

 

Mohabbi stressed that the enemy would face the consequences of this “miscalculation” in both economic and military terms.

 

The remarks came after an attack on Lark Island in Hormozgan Province tonight. The IRGC’s Public Relations Department said the attack had killed and wounded several military personnel and Iranian civilians, adding that the action would be met with an Iranian response.
