IRGC Spokesman Brigadier General Naeini Assassinated
WANA (Mar 20) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has officially confirmed the assassination of Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, the Deputy for Public Relations and Chief Spokesman of the IRGC. General Naeini was killed in what the military described as a “cowardly terrorist attack” orchestrated by Israeli and American forces during the early hours of the final day of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a formal communiqué issued following the incident, the IRGC addressed the loss of this “dedicated mujahid of the culture and media front,” honoring his four decades of service to the Islamic Revolution.
He was a veteran of the Iran-Iraq War and a pioneer in “soft warfare.” Naeini served as the public face of the IRGC during Operations True Promise 2, 3, and 4.
The IRGC Public Relations office extended its deepest condolences to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the family of the assassinated general, and the people. The message emphasized that this targeted killing would not silence the IRGC’s strategic voice.
The communiqué concluded by asserting that the “magnificent voice of the powerful people’s IRGC” will remain unbroken, and its soft power will continue to grow despite the assassination of its chief strategist.
