WANA (Sep 16) – IRGC spokesman Brig. Gen. Hossein Mohebi has described the recent US account of the rescue of an F-15 fighter jet pilot in Iran as a “Hollywood-style” narrative, saying it was an attempt by Washington to compensate for its failures.

Speaking in response to recent reports in US media about the rescue of one of its pilots in Iran, Mohebi said that the United States had become accustomed to presenting “Hollywood-style narratives.” He added that, since the beginning of the war, the US president had repeatedly portrayed himself on social media and in his own imagination as having achieved victory and defeated Iran.

Mohebi said the Americans were attempting to compensate for their failures by combining footage from different locations and incidents to create such scenes.

The IRGC spokesman also said that, alongside the publication of the account, images had appeared in some media outlets purportedly showing parts of the targeted F-15 fighter being collected and transported in a wheelbarrow during the same period.

Mohebi stressed that the United States should understand that such attempts at narrative-building had become outdated and could no longer change the realities on the ground.
