IRGC Spokesman: Trump’s Remarks Stem from His Defeat
WANA (Jun 28) – General Naeini, spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), speaking on the sidelines of the funeral ceremony of commanders and nuclear scientists who were killed in Israeli attacks on Iran, said that Trump’s rants are the result of his heavy defeat against Iran.
“Today marked a historic and decisive day in Iran’s history,” he said. “The world witnessed a demonstration of unity, honor, dignity, and resilience by the Iranian nation. The massive presence of people in this ceremony sent a message of power and strength to the enemies and showed the nation’s deep gratitude for the sacrifices of the martyrs of Iran’s might.”
Naeini further stated: “Our advice to Trump is to open his eyes and stop his rants and erratic behavior. His heavy defeat in the 12-day war has clearly left him confused and unbalanced, fueling his reckless remarks.”
He emphasized that both the “Zionist regime “and Trump failed to achieve their declared objectives and instead perceived Iran’s continued missile attacks as a serious threat to Israel’s existence.
“Trump still has no understanding of the real elements of Iran’s power,” Naeini said, quoting Iran’s Supreme Leader: “He speaks bigger than his mouth.”
He added: “For the past 46 years, enemies have tried with precise, complex, and costly plans to overthrow the Islamic Republic, but due to miscalculations and failure to understand the depth of Iran’s power, they have always faced defeat. The recent war was no exception – the enemy retreated and admitted its defeat.”
Referring to Trump’s recent statements, Naeini said: “Trump foolishly imagines that his baseless words can change the reality of Iran’s victory in global minds, while the truth is otherwise.”
The IRGC spokesperson continued: “Most Iranian people demanded a continued decisive response and even harsher punishment for the aggressors. The enemy, out of desperation, itself sought a ceasefire.”
Naeini noted that military and political experts have explicitly confirmed Iran’s victory and the defeat of the “Zionist regime” and the United States. As the war progressed, the enemy grew weaker in the face of Iran’s missile and drone strikes, while the destructive power of Iran’s attacks increased.
The IRGC Spokesman also said: “This war showed that the inhabitants of the occupied territories are defenseless against Iran’s missile and drone power. Their daily life has come to revolve around the concepts of ‘sirens’, ‘shelters’, and ‘escape’.”
Naeini concluded: “Undoubtedly, from the public’s perspective, Iran is the clear victor in this battle, and the enemy will never be able to compensate for its defeat.”
He ended with a final warning: “Our message to the Zionist regime and the delusional President of America is this: if our national interests and assets are attacked again, our response will be different – more crushing and devastating – and it will accelerate the regime’s decline.”
