WANA (Jul 15) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in Statement No. 14 that, during the sixth wave of Operation Nasr 2, a series of U.S. military communications, air defense, and logistical facilities in Kuwait were targeted and destroyed in coordinated missile and drone strikes.

 

According to the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, the operation, carried out by the IRGC Ground Force and Aerospace Force under the code name “Ya Rasul Allah (PBUH),” struck and destroyed a satellite communications center, missile and air defense radar systems, a Patriot air defense complex, a U.S. military logistics base, and HIMARS missile launchers in Kuwait.

 

The IRGC said the operation was launched in response to U.S. strikes carried out the previous night against several locations in southern Iran. It stated that U.S. forces had bombed a grain storage facility used to purchase wheat from farmers in Hoveyzeh, Khuzestan Province, as well as a bottled water factory in Dehloran, Ilam Province.

 

Addressing the people of Kuwait, the IRGC stressed that Iran has no hostility toward the Kuwaiti nation and said the operation was directed solely at U.S. military forces and facilities. The statement further claimed that many U.S. military operations against Iran have been launched from American bases located on Kuwaiti territory.

 

The IRGC also called on the people of Kuwait to work toward the removal of U.S. forces from their country, saying Kuwaiti territory should not be used to host foreign troops. It further urged Kuwaitis to seize every opportunity to oppose the U.S. military presence and its facilities in the country.
