WANA (Sep 02) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Public Relations Office announced today that its Ground Forces launched a combined missile and drone strike targeting US facilities at the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, alongside strikes on bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Erbil.

 

According to the IRGC statement, the strike targeted the headquarters and residence of the US base commander at Ali Al Salem, killing several personnel. The operation set fire to drone hangars and deployment ramps, destroying multiple unmanned aerial vehicles.

 

The IRGC stated the operation was conducted in retaliation for a US airstrike on a residential home in Sirik, Iran, which hit a Sunni wedding celebration, resulting in nearly 70 casualties and four deaths, including a child.

 

In its statement addressing the people of Kuwait, the IRGC framed its military actions as assistance to help free the region from US military presence, calling for an end to foreign troop deployment in Islamic territories and the removal of American influence in Kuwait.
