WANA (Jul 30) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that countries supporting the “aggressor” would face a severe response if they continue their involvement, adding that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as long as the United States continues its threats and interference in maritime activities in the region.

 

In its Statement No. 54 on Operation Nasr 2, the IRGC’s Public Relations Office said that the determination and resilience of the Iranian people had strengthened the country’s armed forces and disrupted the enemy’s plans.

 

The statement further said that two oil tankers attempted to leave the designated safe route south of the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday night after being directed by U.S. aircraft. According to the IRGC, one of the vessels caught fire, prompting both tankers to reverse course and retreat.

 

The IRGC also stated that the Strait of Hormuz is under the control of its naval forces and asserted that no foreign power would be allowed to interfere in the strategic waterway.

 

The statement concluded by warning that countries assisting the “aggressor” would face serious consequences if they failed to change their behavior. It added that the continuation of U.S. threats and intervention would further complicate the regional situation and declared that “the aggressor will be punished today.”
