IRGC: “The Enemy Must Accept the New Rules Established on the Battlefield”
WANA (Jun 03) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a strategic statement marking the 37th anniversary of the passing of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (Architect of the Islamic Revolution) and the holiday of Eid al-Ghadir.
In the communique, the military branch addressed opposing international powers, stating that foreign adversaries must adapt to a shift in regional dynamics: “The enemy is inevitably forced to accept the new rules of engagement that the Iranian nation and its Armed Forces have imposed on the battlefield.”
The statement detailed several key positions regarding the current geopolitical landscape in West Asia:
Media and Conflict Narratives
The IRGC addressed current media representations of ongoing regional conflicts, claiming that opposing powers are utilizing public relations strategies to obscure tactical setbacks. According to the statement, these efforts fail to alter the strategic reality on the ground established by Iran and the broader regional Resistance Front.
Military Readiness and Threat Responses
Highlighting long-standing geopolitical frictions with the United States, the communique emphasized the high state of alert maintained by Iran’s military branches.
“Drawing on experiences from nearly five decades of confrontation with the United States—specifically referencing the recent 12-Day and Ramadan conflicts—the Armed Forces maintain absolute, real-time readiness. Any external military action will be met with a decisive, expanded counter-response.”
Alignment of Regional Alliances
The document underscored the tactical cohesion among regional allied networks, noting that coordination spanning Tehran, Gaza, the West Bank, Beirut, Baghdad, and Sana’a remains a central pillar of Iran’s defense and deterrence strategy.
Continuity of Leadership
The IRGC paid tribute to the foundational legacy of Ayatollah Khomeini and fallen commanders, while explicitly reaffirming its institutional allegiance to current leadership:
“The principles of the revolution’s founders continue under the leadership of his successor, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei. Allegiance to his leadership remains a fundamental boundary for the IRGC.”
Institutional Coordination and Foreign Policy
The statement stressed that internal cooperation between the regular Army, the IRGC, the Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA), the Basij, and the executive branch of government has stabilized the country against external pressures. It reiterated that opposition to U.S. foreign policy remains a permanent baseline of Iran’s strategic doctrine.
Public Participation
The IRGC highlighted public demonstrations and domestic political cohesion as critical support mechanisms that reinforce both front-line military operations and state diplomatic efforts.
Strategic Outlook
Concluding the manifesto, the IRGC framed the survival and current posture of the Islamic Revolution as a result of its ideological framework and governance model, ending with an explicit message directed at the U.S.-Israeli alliance:
“The Islamic Revolution, functioning within the framework of the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist, has navigated severe security and political challenges. We state clearly to opposing forces: You have no choice but to accept the new rules that the Iranian nation and its Armed Forces have established on the ground.”
