WANA (Jul 15) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the sixth wave of Operation Nasr 2 in Statement No. 13, saying that its Aerospace Force launched a pre-dawn strike on the U.S. Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan.

 

According to the statement, the operation was carried out in response to what the IRGC described as the resumption of U.S. military attacks against Iran and the use of American military bases in Jordan for those operations. The statement claimed that shelters housing F-15, F-16, and F-35 fighter jets were targeted and that several U.S. MQ-9 Reaper strategic drones were destroyed during the attack.

 

Addressing the people of Jordan, the IRGC described the country as a “sacred land and the homeland of the prophets” and called for an end to the presence of U.S. military forces on Jordanian territory. It also urged Jordanians to prevent their country’s territory from being used to launch attacks against Islamic countries and the Palestinian people.

 

In the final section of the statement, the IRGC called on the people of Jordan to work toward the expulsion of U.S. forces from the country and to oppose the continued American military presence.
