WANA (Jul 29) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in Statement No. 52 that it had launched a ballistic missile strike against a U.S. air base and the headquarters of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in Jordan, describing the operation as a response to what it called “aggressive actions” by the United States.

In the statement, the IRGC Aerospace Force praised the continued support of the Iranian people, saying their steadfast presence and backing had inspired admiration around the world and strengthened the morale of Iranian forces.

According to the statement, IRGC Aerospace Force personnel launched several ballistic missiles at a U.S. air base and the headquarters of the U.S. Central Command in Jordan. The IRGC said the strike was carried out in response to what it described as recent U.S. military aggression against Iran.

The statement further warned that as long as threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran continue and what it called unlawful and hostile actions by U.S. forces against Iranian interests persist, Iran’s resistance will also continue. It added that U.S. officials must end their threats and what it described as illegal interference in Iran’s interests.
