WANA (Jul 17) – Following its operations in Syria, the IRGC released a subsequent announcement confirming that a U.S. military base in Kuwait was targeted and set on fire in response to alleged American strikes on Iranian civilian infrastructure.

 

Addressing the public, the IRGC claimed that the United States—referred to as the “Great Satan”—had broken its commitments mid-negotiations to resume hostilities.

 

The statement alleged that, out of desperation in facing Iran’s armed forces, the U.S. resorted to “war crimes” by targeting civilian centers, including telecommunications facilities, railway networks, and civilian vehicles, resulting in multiple civilian deaths and injuries.

 

In response, the IRGC Aerospace Force initiated the 12th wave of “Operation Nasr-2,” using the same religious code and dedicating the strike to the employees of RAJA (the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways).

 

The IRGC stated that the operation successfully hit a missile defense detection and tracking radar, several ammunition depots, and two HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) launchers along with their stockpiled missiles. The strikes reportedly triggered a massive fire across the U.S. facility in Kuwait.

 

The military body concluded by noting that ongoing U.S. actions have led to a sharp decline in regional energy production and a total halt to oil and gas exports through the Strait of Hormuz, warning that counter-operations will persist.
