IRGC: U.S. Fifth Fleet Radar Systems Targeted in “Nasr 2” Operation
WANA (Jul 14) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that several radar systems and military facilities linked to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain were targeted during the second phase of the second wave of the “Nasr 2” operation.
According to IRGC Statement No. 8, the IRGC’s naval and aerospace forces carried out missile and drone strikes, targeting systems including a Patriot radar, the Fifth Fleet’s air control radar, and a C-RAM early-warning radar system.
The statement said that fuel storage facilities belonging to the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain also caught fire during the strikes, while the command and monitoring center for unmanned guided boats was completely destroyed.
The IRGC added that “retaliatory operations are continuing.”
