WANA (Aug 31) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its Aerospace Force has targeted two air bases in Jordan used by U.S. forces in response to a U.S.-Israeli airstrike on Iran’s Larak Island.

 

According to the IRGC’s statement, the operation, dubbed “Punish<ment of the Aggressor” and carried out under the code name “Ya Muhammad ibn Abdullah,”look 87 involved a combined missile-and-drone strike against technical and maintenance infrastructure as well as areas where enemy fighter jets were stationed at the King Hussein and Azraq air bases in Jordan.

 

The IRGC said ballistic missiles and drones were used in the operation and that the strikes caused heavy damage to the targeted facilities.

 

The IRGC also warned that military attacks would not weaken Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, saying any further attack would be met with an even stronger response.
