IRGC: U.S. Fighter Jet Facilities Destroyed
WANA (Jun 11) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had targeted and destroyed facilities housing U.S. fighter jets at the Al-Azraq Air Base and Control Center in response to recent American missile attacks on several locations in Iran.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force launched 12 ballistic missiles at positions hosting U.S. F-35, F-15, and F-16 fighter aircraft, as well as other key military facilities at the Al-Azraq Air Base and Control Center.
According to the statement, the strike resulted in the destruction of the targeted facilities and a significant number of fighter jets stationed at the base.
The IRGC said the operation was carried out in response to U.S. missile attacks on a recreational site, an industrial complex, the grounds of a military barracks near Karaj and Nazarabad, and a local IRGC base in Pishva County.
The statement added that Iranian military operations would continue as long as what it described as hostile actions by the United States persist.
