WANA (Apr 18) – The Public Relations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy has issued the following statement regarding the latest maritime developments:

Yesterday, with the announcement by the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the permission for civilian vessels to pass through the “Larak Corridor,” a number of vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz under the management and coordination of the IRGC Navy.

However, following the violation of the ceasefire conditions, the American enemy did not lift the naval blockade of Iranian vessels and ports; therefore, from this afternoon, the Strait of Hormuz is closed until this blockade is lifted.

Accordingly, we warn that no type of vessel shall move from its anchorage in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, and approaching the Strait of Hormuz will be considered cooperation with the enemy, and the violating vessel will be targeted.

Furthermore, we announce to all vessels and their owners to follow news only from the official source of the IRGC Navy and by communicating via Channel 16; the statements of the terrorist President of the America in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf have no credibility.
