IRGC: Violating Oil Tanker Prima Struck
WANA (Mar 07) – The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that earlier this morning, an oil tanker operating under the commercial name Prima was struck by a suicide drone after it ignored repeated warnings from the IRGC Navy regarding the prohibition of passage and the unsafe conditions in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the IRGC statement, the tanker failed to comply with multiple warnings issued by the IRGC Naval Forces about the ban on transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement added that the strategic Strait of Hormuz has been under control for eight days following what it described as the malicious aggression of American terrorists, the martyrdom of the leader of the Islamic Ummah, and attacks on the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz. It said that oil tankers and commercial vessels affiliated with hostile countries are not permitted to pass through the strait.
