WANA (Sep 21) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that any fresh miscalculation or act of aggression by its adversaries will trigger what it described as a “crippling and instructive response.”

In a statement, the force underscored that Iran’s deterrence rests on “permanent readiness, innovative strategy, and continuous development of advanced defense technologies.” It asserted that the country would maintain battlefield initiative with a “decisive upper hand” should a new confrontation arise.

The IRGC highlighted that Iran’s armed forces have, over the past decades, achieved a high level of self-sufficiency and resilience despite sanctions and international pressure. According to the statement, this has allowed Iran to withstand “full-scale, high-intensity wars” and emerge with enhanced deterrent capabilities.

The statement further argued that recent experiences, including what it referred to as a “12-day war” against regional adversaries, demonstrated Iran’s ability to thwart military campaigns by technologically advanced opponents.

Warning specifically against threats from Israel and the United States, the IRGC declared that any hostile move targeting Iran’s sovereignty or national security would be met with “a timely, forceful, and regret-inducing retaliation.”
