WANA (Feb 15) – Stalling Instead of Negotiating; The U.S. Is Arranging the Puzzle of War

Mohsen Jalilvand, an Iranian foreign policy analyst regarding the possibility of a U.S. attack on Iran, has stated that the United States is stalling, and contrary to the usual claim that Iran drags out negotiations, this time it is the U.S. that is engaged in delay tactics. The purpose of this delay is the extensive deployment of American forces in the region and reaching consensus over the type and timing of an attack.

Following the announcement that a new round of Iran–U.S. negotiations will be held in Geneva, speculation regarding the outcome of these talks has increased. Nevertheless, some of Trump’s remarks about the negotiations and his setting of a deadline have created doubts about the results and objectives of the talks.

The issue is that Iran’s opposing party is not the United States; rather, Tehran’s main confrontation is with Israel. In fact, it is Netanyahu who stands against Iran, not Trump.

The recent is not one that can be easily overlooked. The statements made by both sides after this meeting clearly indicate that Israel and the United States have reached an agreement regarding forthcoming executive actions.

It appears that part of the negotiation has been to let the month of Ramadan (beginning February 19) pass, and then, after Ramadan, attacks would begin. In fact, they are waiting for the USS Gerald R. Ford to arrive in the region as well.

From the perspective of some Iranian experts, the occurrence of war is inevitable. However, the timing of the war cannot be determined accurately or precisely.
