Isfahan University of Technology Hit Again in Reported Attack
WANA (Mar 29) – The Isfahan University of Technology was reportedly targeted again in what local authorities describe as a U.S.-Israeli aerial attack, marking the second such strike on the campus in the past week.
According to Akbar Salehi, deputy for security and law enforcement at the Isfahan Governorate, the university was previously struck on March 26.
The university’s public relations office confirmed that the second attack occurred around 2:00 PM local time on March 29, describing it as a brutal aerial assault by U.S.-Israeli aggressors.
Initial reports indicate that the attack primarily struck one of the university’s research institutes but also caused damage to several other buildings.
Four university staff members were reported with minor injuries.
Earlier, Tehran University of Science and Industry was also reportedly targeted by U.S.-Israeli attacks, highlighting an ongoing pattern of assaults on academic institutions in Iran.
Following these attacks on Iranian universities, the IRGC, in a statement, declared American universities in the West Asia region and Israeli universities as ‘legitimate targets’ for scientific and military retaliation.
