WANA (Jun 30) – Israel’s internal security agency, Shin Bet, announced on Monday the arrest of three individuals suspected of operating on behalf of Iran in two separate cases.

In the first case, 33-year-old Mark Morgan from the Jordan Valley was arrested for allegedly carrying out tasks assigned by Iranian operatives.

According to Shin Bet, Morgan retrieved a grenade planted in a remote location, reportedly intended for transfer to hostile foreign agents.

He is also accused of filming an interception of Iranian missile strikes on Israel at the request of his Iranian contact.

In the second case, two young men—18-year-old Yoni Segal and 20-year-old Omer Mizrahi from Tiberias—were arrested for allegedly planning an assassination in exchange for hundreds of thousands of shekels.

Israeli media claim the two had received instructions to travel abroad for training prior to carrying out the attack, but they were detained before leaving the country.

Segal and Mizrahi are also accused of surveilling Israeli targets, including shopping centers and a hospital, filming strategic locations in Haifa, Tiberias, and Tel Aviv, and sending geolocation data while requesting additional assignments from their handlers.

An Israeli court has extended the detention of all three suspects by four days, as authorities prepare to formally charge them in the coming days.
