WANA (Aug 10) – Israeli police and the Shin Bet internal security service have claimed the arrest of an Israeli army soldier on charges of collaborating with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Hebrew media, a joint statement from police and Shin Bet alleged that the soldier carried out several missions for Iran during his military service and transferred sensitive information.

Israeli security officials described the case as “extremely dangerous” and said investigations are ongoing to determine the scope of the leaked intelligence and to identify any other individuals linked to the alleged network.

No further details have been released about the soldier’s identity or the evidence cited in support of the accusation. Hebrew media also noted that no concrete documents or judicial confirmations have been provided to substantiate the claim.

The announcement comes amid a series of recent Israeli security detentions over alleged “links to Iran,” many of which have remained at the media-claim stage without subsequent legal transparency.
