WANA (Sep 27) – The Israeli Cyber Directorate announced that it is reviewing multiple reports of phone calls made to residents in the occupied territories, with recorded messages in Hebrew reportedly attempting to recruit spies for Iran.

According to the reports, several Israelis have received pre-recorded messages in Hebrew warning that “Iranian intelligence is searching for agents offering competitive salaries and full security. Reach out to us on Telegram or via the internet.”

One recipient, speaking anonymously, said they and their spouse were offered money in exchange for working as agents for Iran.

Residents of the occupied territories are warned not to answer calls coming from phone numbers beginning with 03‑6817 and 03‑3067, and if accidentally engaged, to hang up immediately.

The Israeli Police also urged those who get such calls to block the number and report them to legal authorities.

It is also reported that in the past two years, Iranian agents have allegedly succeeded in recruiting Israelis via social media—especially Telegram—for intelligence collaboration.

These reportedly ranged from small tasks to more serious assignments, including gathering information of strategic importance.
