WANA (Apr 10) – The Israeli regime has been compelled to suspend its attacks on Beirut following recent regional developments and mounting diplomatic pressure. According to Press TV, citing a senior security official, the decision came as a direct result of Iran’s firm insistence.

The report indicates that Iran had previously warned it would withdraw from the upcoming negotiations in Islamabad if the strikes on the Lebanese capital continued—an ultimatum widely seen as a decisive factor in shaping recent events.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Al-Joumhouria newspaper noted that attention is now focused on the coming hours, as prospects grow for the implementation of a ceasefire in Lebanon and the launch of negotiations.

However, the paper cautioned that developments remain contingent on the actions of Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that any unexpected move by him could alter the course of events.
