Israel Strikes Jewish Synagogue in Tehran
WANA (Apr 07) – An Israeli-U.S. missile strike targeted central Tehran several hours ago, resulting in the destruction of a Jewish synagogue and a residential building near Taleghani Street.
Emergency responders are currently on the scene, working frantically to rescue individuals trapped beneath the debris of the place of worship.
Casualties and Structural Damage
According to local officials, the missile impact completely destroyed the synagogue and a neighboring four-story residential building, which subsequently caught fire. Nearby structures also sustained significant damage from the blast.
One of the authorities reported that at least two people are believed to be trapped under the rubble. Search and rescue teams are currently engaged in a high-stakes operation to reach them.
Impact in Central Tehran
The strike occurred in a busy district of the capital. The residential building hit in the incident was leveled by the explosion, and firefighters have been working to contain the resulting blaze.
There has been no immediate confirmation regarding the total number of casualties, as rescue efforts continue at both the synagogue and the collapsed residential site.
