WANA (Nov 02) – Israel’s Attorney General has filed an indictment against an Israeli citizen accused of collaborating with Iranian intelligence and carrying out security-related missions on its behalf.

According to Israeli media reports, the State Prosecutor’s Office on Sunday submitted the indictment against Yosef Ein Eli, a 23-year-old resident of Tiberias in northern Israel, to the Beersheba District Court.

Ein Eli was arrested in September on suspicion of security offenses, including contact with Iranian intelligence agents and execution of espionage tasks.

The indictment alleges that since late 2024, Ein Eli has been in communication with Iranian intelligence, transmitting information and photographs of hotels near the Dead Sea, including one where he worked, as well as tourist sites in southern Israel.

This case follows a series of similar arrests in recent months, as several individuals have been detained on allegations of spying or intelligence cooperation with Iran.

Palestinian media sources note that, despite tight Israeli censorship over details of such security cases, the repeated arrests of Israeli citizens accused of espionage for Iran point to growing intelligence infiltration and operational reach within Israel’s security apparatus.
