Israeli Air Force Personnel Arrested on Allegations of Spying for Iran
WANA (Apr 18) – The Israeli network “i24 has uncovered what it describes as a “severe” security breach involving allegations of widespread espionage within the Israeli Air Force (IAF) on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the report, two conscripts were arrested approximately one month ago. Israeli security sources suggest these individuals may be part of an extensive network operating during the current conflict.
As the report says, Iranian intelligence forces recruited the suspects. The two individuals exploited their positions to transmit information regarding military systems, sensitive locations, and high-ranking figures.
The network also reported that indictments will likely be issued against these individuals by the end of the week. Their primary charge will be “assisting the enemy in a time of war.”
A senior Israeli Air Force official stated that warnings regarding espionage within this institution had been issued previously, emphasizing that decisive action must be taken.
Prior to this, Israeli police announced the arrest of a personnel member active within the “Iron Dome” system. This individual’s charge was also spying for Iran.
