Israeli Channel: Iran Determined to Continue War with U.S.
WANA (Sep 05) – Israeli sources report that the Islamic Republic of Iran is pursuing the ongoing conflict with heightened confidence.
According to U.S. intelligence assessments, Tehran has developed significant confidence in its military readiness and operational capabilities to execute strikes against strategic targets across the Middle East.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that these assessments indicate Iran remains determined to sustain the conflict over several months, aiming to disrupt both regional and international calculations made by the United States.
Following a resumption of military engagements after a period of relative calm, intelligence data suggests that recent tit-for-tat strikes could serve as a prelude to a dangerous escalation initiated by Iran in the near future.
Joint U.S. and Israeli security evaluations highlight that Iran has emerged from recent months of conflict with a deeper understanding of its field and operational capabilities, bolstering its confidence in handling potential military scenarios.
The Israeli network further noted that current estimates indicate the Iranian government is presently unwilling to reach an agreement with the Trump administration. Instead, Tehran reportedly prefers to prolong the confrontation to heighten internal U.S. political tension ahead of the congressional midterm elections.
Meanwhile, Washington continues to rely on economic pressure and sanctions, a strategy that has further fueled escalating tensions.
Regarding developments on the ground, Channel 12 warned that Iran may execute aggressive operations similar to those of last July, when Iranian strikes targeted military bases and regional infrastructure, resulting in the deaths of three Americans in Jordan.
