Israeli Ex-Security Unit Member Arrested on Alleged Spying Charges for Iran
WANA (Jul 29) – Israeli media have reported the arrest of an Israeli citizen on allegations of spying for Iran.
According to The Times of Israel, the suspect, who previously served in one of Israel’s military security units, was arrested by Israeli security authorities and accused of conducting intelligence activities on behalf of Iran.
The report states that the man was indicted in a Tel Aviv court on July 16 on charges of contact with a foreign agent and transferring information for the benefit of the enemy.
He is the latest in a series of individuals arrested by Israeli authorities in recent months over alleged espionage activities linked to Iran.
