Israeli Regime Begged to Stop the War
WANA (Aug 24) – The spokesman of Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics said the Israeli regime, after suffering heavy blows to its infrastructure during the recent 12-day war, begged for the conflict to end and ultimately sought U.S. support for its survival, as it had done in the past.
Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesperson of the ministry, in an interview, elaborated on different dimensions of the 12-day conflict, stating:
“The enemy’s failures in achieving its intended objectives during the recent war have become clear to everyone. The Zionist enemy launched this war to divide Iran, damage the Islamic Republic, and weaken our national strength, but in the end, more frustrated and desperate than before, it pleaded for the war to stop and once again turned to the U.S. government for rescue.”
He identified one of the key reasons for Israel’s defeat as a miscalculation of the consequences of war: “The enemy did not factor in the extensive military, security, economic, infrastructural, and political damages it would sustain. This miscalculation not only prevented it from reaching its goals but also inflicted heavy costs and severe blows on the infrastructure and military apparatus of the Zionist regime.”
General Talaei-Nik also referred to the continuation of the enemy’s media campaign after the military operations ended, noting: “Although military operations have stopped, the psychological and media warfare has not. The enemy, to cover up its despair and internal failures, continues to intensify psychological warfare and political pressure.”
He concluded by stressing the need for vigilance: “The media community and the people must, as before and after the imposed war, act intelligently and with greater awareness in countering psychological and media warfare.”
