WANA (Jun 27) – Security forces in Iran’s Hormozgan Province have arrested two individuals accused of espionage for Israel during the recent 12-day war. The suspects allegedly sent the coordinates of sensitive and vital locations in the province to handlers based outside the country.

Ali Akbar Javidan, the provincial police commander, confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects—a man and a woman—were identified through intelligence operations carried out by Iran’s law enforcement intelligence agency, with assistance from local citizens.

According to Javidan, the pair had been operating under the guise of importing cosmetics and repairing satellite phones. Investigations revealed that, in exchange for large sums of money, they transmitted GPS coordinates of key strategic sites to their foreign contacts.

During a search of their hideout, authorities reportedly confiscated telecommunications equipment, GPS devices, and satellite phones.
