WANA (Apr 15) – Israeli authorities on Wednesday officially indicted a resident of Nazareth on charges of espionage and collaborating with Iranian intelligence.

According to reports from the Israeli media, the indictment follows a joint investigation by the Israel Police and the Shin Bet security agency.

The individual was initially detained in March and is accused of filming sensitive strategic sites, including the Haifa oil refineries, military bases, and various security installations.

Investigators allege she operated under the direction of a foreign agent, transferring gathered intelligence in exchange for payments made in cryptocurrency.

Beyond physical surveillance, the statement from the Shin Bet indicates that she was tasked with collecting data on a former high-ranking Israeli security official.

This case marks a continuation of a significant crackdown by Israeli security forces, which have reportedly arrested over 50 suspects in 38 publicized espionage cases linked to Iran over the past two years.
