Joint Iran-Arab Statement Condemns Somaliland Recognition
WANA (Dec 28) – A number of Arab and Islamic countries have issued a statement condemning the recognition of Somaliland by the Israeli regime.
In a joint statement, Arab and Islamic nations, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Jordan, and Pakistan, emphasized their opposition to the recognition of Somaliland by the Israeli regime.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the foreign ministers of Egypt, Algeria, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Maldives, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Turkey, Yemen, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) emphasized their categorical opposition to the recognition of Somaliland by Israel.

Iran Condemns Israel’s Violation of Somalia’s Sovereignty
WANA (Dec 27) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, has strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia. Baghaei described Israel’s attempts to advance a “conspiracy to partition” the Islamic nation as a clear breach of international law and the fundamental principles of the UN Charter. […]
They considered this action a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The foreign ministers of these Arab and Islamic countries emphasized their full support for Somalia’s sovereignty and their opposition to any action violating Somalia’s sovereignty and its authority over its entire territory.
They stated that recognizing the independence of a part of a country’s territory is a dangerous move and a threat to international peace and security, international principles and laws, and the UN Charter.
The foreign ministers of these Arab and Islamic countries emphasized their categorical opposition to linking this action to any plan for the displacement of the Palestinian people.
