Kataib Hezbollah Warns of Rising Threats Against Iran
WANA (Feb 24) – A senior security official from Kataib Hezbollah has warned of escalating regional tensions and called on Iran’s security and military institutions to heighten their state of alert, particularly along the country’s northwestern borders.
Abu Ali al-Askari, the group’s security chief, said that amid unprecedented military movements in the region and direct threats by Donald Trump against the Islamic Republic of Iran, there are growing indications of naval deployments and the reinforcement of foreign military bases in preparation for potential attacks on Iran.
According to al-Askari, the readiness of the United States to target Iran via land routes—stretching from Syria to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq—is steadily increasing, necessitating constant monitoring and proactive defensive measures.
He also urged Kurdish actors in northern Iraq to exercise restraint and rational judgment, warning against involvement in any military adventurism or actions that could destabilize the region or contribute to confrontation with Iran.
