WANA (Jun 07) – Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said in a statement that the Islamic Republic had previously warned against any expansion of Israeli attacks on Beirut’s southern suburbs (Dahiyeh), stressing that such actions would prompt strikes against targets in the occupied territories.

 

The commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, referring to the latest developments in Lebanon, stated: “The aggressive Zionist regime has repeatedly violated the ceasefire and, with the green light and support of criminal America and the silence of international organizations, has intensified its aggression against the oppressed people of Lebanon day by day. It is also committing war crimes through the use of prohibited weapons, including phosphorus bombs.”

 

He added: “Despite previous warnings from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the child-killing Zionist regime has crossed all red lines and, after escalating its attacks in southern Lebanon, has targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs.”

 

The commander further stated: “We had previously warned that if crimes in Beirut’s southern suburbs expanded, we would strike targets in the occupied territories.”

 

The statement continued: “The Zionist army must halt its attacks on southern Lebanon and Dahiyeh. Should it expand its attacks on the area or respond to Iran’s actions, it will face even more forceful and regret-inducing blows, and devastating operations against the regime and its supporters will begin.”

The statement was released hours after an Israeli airstrike targeted a building in Beirut’s southern suburbs, an attack that triggered strong reactions across the region. Around the same time, Israel’s Home Front Command reported detecting missiles launched from Iran toward northern occupied territories and instructed residents in affected areas to immediately seek shelter. Air raid sirens were activated in Haifa, the Galilee, and the occupied Golan Heights.

 

Israeli media claimed that Iran fired four ballistic missiles toward northern Israel. Tehran had previously stated that any attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs would be met with a response.
