Khatam al-Anbiya Spokesperson: Iraq Exempt from Strait of Hormuz Restrictions
WANA (Apr 04) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced that Iraq is exempt from the restrictions imposed on the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that these measures apply only to hostile countries.
In his remarks, he highlighted the close ties between Iran and Iraq, stating that although Iran has been at the forefront of the battlefield, the support and steadfast positions of the Iraqi people have played a significant role in strengthening resolve and resilience.
He further emphasized Iran’s respect for Iraq’s national sovereignty, noting that the country’s struggle against U.S. presence is commendable and worthy of recognition.
The spokesperson described current developments as a historic opportunity for Iraq, saying they could pave the way for ending the U.S. presence on Iraqi soil, establishing lasting security, and preventing the exploitation of Iraq’s resources.
