WANA (Oct 09) – The Iranian Minister of Intelligence, Hojjatoleslam Seyed Esmail Khatib, stated that the capabilities of the armed forces and Iran’s missile superiority provided a major victory for the country and defeated plans to overthrow and divide Iran.

 

He explained that “the system of domination and arrogance, through a comprehensive plan and hybrid warfare, attempted to impose a puppet government. The intended result of this action was to overthrow and fragment our country.”

 

Khatib added, “However, by divine grace, and under the wise leadership of the Commander-in-Chief, the costs and damages were immediately managed through timely measures.

 

This strategy was inseparably combined with the zeal, strength, and power of Iran’s armed forces. The capabilities of our armed forces and Iran’s missile superiority delivered a significant victory for the nation.”

 

Emphasizing the importance of unity, Khatib said, “The unity and cohesion of the Iranian people have been the key to our endurance over the past half-century. We are all obliged to preserve and strengthen this unity. Serving the people is the main condition for maintaining national cohesion, a point repeatedly emphasized by the honorable president.”

 

Khatib also expressed gratitude for the role of the people during the 12-day war, recalling, “The people fulfilled their duty to the nation, standing by the system and the revolution with all their diverse lifestyles and thoughts, and supporting the leadership.”
