WANA (Sep 27) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, responded today to reports of a potential renewed Israeli attack on Iran in a press conference in Beirut, stating, “We are prepared for all scenarios. But I don’t think they will act so recklessly. If they do, we will respond firmly.”

Ali Larijani,” Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said to reporters in Beirut: “Today is a day for cooperation, and the Islamic world faces a common enemy.”

Hezbollah is an Authentic Movement in Lebanon and the Islamic World

He stated that the actions of “Naeem Qassem” were correct and said, “Hezbollah is an authentic movement in Lebanon and the Islamic world. Its concern is the well-being of the Lebanese people and a strong fortress against the Zionist regime. They sacrifice themselves for the comfort of the Lebanese people. Therefore, any political action that helps this cause is considered beneficial by them.”

The Resistance Movement is a Great Asset in the Islamic World

He emphasised: “The resistance movement is a great asset in the Islamic world, especially Hezbollah, which is an important force against Israel. The role of martyr Seyed Hassan Nasrallah in this matter is very distinguished. What Seyed Hassan Nasrallah understood decades ago is now visible in the region. His ‘crime’ was that he understood the issues and the Israeli threat earlier than others, had a plan, implemented it, and trained a large group of devoted young fighters.”

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran also, in a post on X, mentioned that: “The warnings of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah in past years became clear to everyone with the attack of the Zionist regime on Qatar. The Zionist regime shows no mercy to any country. Hezbollah was born from the Lebanese nation and is a source of pride for the Islamic world.”

Hezbollah and Seyed Hassan Nasrallah Hold a Place in the Hearts of Muslims

Larijani said, “Although Lebanon is a small country, it is considered powerful against Israel because of the strong will created among the younger generation. Therefore, Hezbollah and Seyed Hassan Nasrallah hold a place in the hearts of Muslims.”

We Consider the Intellectual Cooperation Between Hezbollah and Saudi Arabia a Right Move

The representative of the Supreme Leader in the Supreme National Security Council regarding Iran’s role in rapprochement between Hezbollah and Saudi Arabia said: “We consider it right that Hezbollah and Saudi Arabia be able to have intellectual cooperation. Today, you have a great common enemy. Both the Saudi government is a Muslim government, and Hezbollah is an authentic Islamic movement, and differences should not prevent their closeness.”

In Response to Tom Barrack’s Claim About Hezbollah Receiving Financial Aid

He said, “I think Mr Barrack got angry when he said this. He also once got angry right here where we are now.”

We Are Following Up on Rebuilding Houses Destroyed in Brutal Israeli Attacks

Larijani continued regarding Iran’s participation in rebuilding homes attacked by Israel in Lebanon: “Good efforts are underway in the region, and we are also pursuing the reconstruction of homes destroyed in brutal Israeli attacks, and we hope this happens soon.”

The Lebanese People Are Mature and Do Not Need a Guardian

Regarding Hezbollah’s cooperation with Lebanese government officials, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said, “There are two paths. The first is that some countries, especially the United States, sow discord in internal affairs and order the Lebanese people to fight among themselves. This approach yields no results, but the Americans continue to pursue it. The path we follow is completely opposite.”

He added, “I have explained before that these are internal Lebanese issues and should be decided by the responsible officials in Lebanon. But the path we follow is for Lebanese officials to move with consensus. The Lebanese people are mature and do not need a guardian, and there is no need for the US to consider itself the guardian of the Lebanese people. This approach is not acceptable, not only in Lebanon but also elsewhere. Would a proud Lebanese willingly lose his interests under US pressure? The Lebanese people must decide, and this is the path we recommend.”

Hezbollah Does Not Need Weapons from Elsewhere

Regarding some statements about Iran supplying weapons to Hezbollah, he said: “I have not heard such a thing. Hezbollah does not need weapons from elsewhere. It is strong enough not to need to receive weapons.”

We Do Not Give Orders

Regarding recent positions of Sheikh Naeem Qassem and Iran’s role in the matter, he said: “We do not give orders to anyone. Sheikh Naeem Qassem is a great figure and decides what is in the best interest of the Lebanese people, but we approve of his approach.”

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said, “We do not get involved in such minor matters.”

We Are Prepared for All Scenarios

In response to reports about preparations for a renewed Israeli attack on Iran, he said: “We are prepared for all scenarios. But I don’t think they will act so recklessly. If they do, we will respond firmly.”

Hezbollah’s Call to Set Aside Differences and Pursue Unity is the Height of Wisdom

In response to whether opening negotiations between Hezbollah and Saudi Arabia is a sign of weakness, Larijani said: “Hezbollah saying to set aside differences and pursue unity is the height of wisdom, not a sign of weakness. Therefore, that is not our view. Despite the Pager incident where people were martyred and injured, Hezbollah rebuilt itself, showing its capacity. It quickly replaced those lost and because of this reconstruction, it was able to stop Israel’s advances.”
