Larijani Meets Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri
WANA (Sep 27) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, met today with Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, during his visit to Beirut to attend the first anniversary ceremony of the death of Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.
This marks Larijani’s second trip to Beirut since assuming his current post. Upon arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport, Larijani expressed his pleasure at returning to Lebanon in a short span of time.
“One of the important objectives of this visit is to participate in the ceremony honoring the martyrs of Lebanon — dear martyrs who defended Lebanese soil, foremost among them the late Seyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyed Hashem Safi al-Din,” he said.
Larijani added that during his brief stay, he will hold several other meetings, which he hopes will be beneficial for all the countries involved.
