Larijani Travels to Muscat for Talks with Omani Officials
WANA (Feb 10) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, departed Tehran for Muscat on Tuesday morning to hold talks with senior officials of the Sultanate of Oman.
During his visit, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council is scheduled to meet and hold talks with senior Omani officials, including Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
The meetings will focus on the latest regional and international developments, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Muscat hosted indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the United States on Friday, February 6, led by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, with mediation by the Omani foreign minister.
Larijani’s visit comes on the eve of the second round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States.
